Foam Sales NBR (Nitrile Rubber) sheeting is a flexible, synthetic rubber copolymer. NBR sheet is a resilient closed cell material used for both thermal and sound insulation. It is black in colour with a smooth skin on one side that forms the outer exposed insulation surface. A reflective aluminium foil surface is available on the , and a is available in the 8mm sheet.
The expanded closed-cell structure of Foam Sales NBR makes it an efficient thermal insulation material, ideal for cabinets, larger pipes, fittings, duct-work, vessels and curved/irregular surfaces. NBR is effective as thermal insulation for temperatures ranging from -40 - 100C.
NBR sheet is also used for sound insulation to line engine boxes and bays, including marine applications where buoyant closed cell foams are required. Foam Sales' NBR is resistant to oils and acids, more-so than natural rubbers. It is attacked by ozones, ketones, esters and aldehydes.
